What We're Learning This Week

Math: We will begin a short project involving technology and finding polygons around campus. WE will also begin Unit 2. Be on the lookout for a parent letter soon.

Science: We are continuing with the human body. This week we will be dissecting owl pellets on Thursday and Friday.

Spelling: The words this week will come from lesson 3. The classroom words are:

multiplication, skeleton, comprehension, migration

Idiom: "to put your foot in your mouth" meaning to say something you shouldn't have

Alabama Fact: page 3

Reading: Continuing Unit 1 which is Sequence of events...no tests

History: Continuing chapter 1 covering the Early Indians . Geographic Land Region Quiz is Thursday!

Important Information!

2nd Grade Playground Project Proposal is Monday morning. We will sell popsicles soon after.

There will be the last spelling test. The words will be selected from the second column of the last page of the Spellwell book. The words will be chosen at random. The Alabama Fact will come from page 8. The fact cannot be one already selected.

Please turn in all green receipts.

End of Year math test on Friday.

Sound Unit Test is on Tuesday

Be working on your multiplication Math fact packet. The goal is to complete all 50 problems in 3 minutes.

Sack lunch and drink needed for the Duke field trip. Our class goes on May 14.

Don't forget to donate items for the 4th grade store. We could use some Sprites for them to purchase for lunch. We are very low on items!
